Our Sessions
Three ways to find a clearer picture
Each programme is designed around a specific kind of support — organising, informing, or connecting — without pressure or prescription.

How Anchora sessions are structured
Every Anchora session is built around one principle: you should leave with something useful. That might be a completed personal inventory, a list of specific official sources, or a renewed sense of connection with people who understand where you are. The format is always defined before you arrive, so there's no ambiguity about what you're getting.
Facilitators follow a consistent method: they listen, they explain, they point. They don't interpret, recommend, or advise. This keeps sessions within a clear and honest boundary — and it keeps participants in control.
Defined scope
Each session has a published description of what is and isn't covered. No surprises on the day.
Prepared materials
Worksheets, resource lists, or handbooks are prepared in advance and handed over at the end.
Participant feedback reviewed
Every session ends with an optional feedback form. Responses are read and used to refine the programme.
Session One
Take-Stock Worksheet Session
A guided session that helps you list and organise what you already have in place for later life, in your own words. It's a clarity-and-organisation exercise, with templates to keep. No interpretation of documents is given, and no recommendations are made. You leave with a personal inventory you created — something you can update over time and refer to in any future conversation with a professional.
What's included
- Guided, structured session with a trained facilitator
- Pre-prepared worksheet templates you take away
- Plain-language explanation of any terms you'd like clarified
- A completed personal inventory in your own words
How it works
- 01 Pre-session: you receive a short overview of what to bring
- 02 Session: facilitator guides you through each section of the worksheet
- 03 Close: you receive your completed templates and a list of relevant official sources
Session Two
Information Helpline Membership
A membership giving access to a general information line where trained facilitators point you to official public resources and explain common terms in plain language. They share where to find answers — not what to decide. A friendly first port of call for the questions that come up between major planning moments.
What's included
- Access to the information line during office hours
- Responses from trained facilitators, not automated systems
- Signposting to specific official sources based on your question
- Plain-language explanations of pension-related terminology
How it works
- 01 Enrol: receive your membership details and helpline contact
- 02 Call in: speak with a facilitator who listens and responds with relevant sources
- 03 Follow up: receive a brief written summary of sources discussed if requested
Session Three
Retiree Community Hub
Access to an ongoing community programme of talks, peer circles, and shared resources for people in or near retirement. The focus is connection, routine, and general learning. Includes a member handbook and a calendar of gatherings — so you always know what's coming up and what's available to you.
What's included
- Monthly gathering calendar (talks, peer circles, shared reading)
- Member handbook with resources and programme overview
- Access to peer circles with others at a similar life stage
- Guest speaker sessions on publicly relevant topics
How it works
- 01 Join: receive your handbook and the upcoming gathering calendar
- 02 Attend: join the gatherings that suit your interests and schedule
- 03 Connect: build relationships with other members across events
